My Philosophy

My cooking is built on memory, seasonality, fire, and emotion. I believe technique should serve the ingredient, not overpower it. Every dish should have a reason to exist — a story, a place, a memory, or a feeling behind it.

What Guides My Cooking

My approach to food is shaped by memory, curiosity, and contrast. I am drawn to ingredients that carry a sense of place, techniques that reveal rather than hide, and dishes that balance comfort with surprise. I want food to feel familiar enough to connect with, but personal enough to leave a memory.

Memory • Seasonality • Fire • Emotion

Memory gives food meaning. Seasonality keeps it honest. Fire brings character. Emotion is what makes a dish stay with you after the plate is gone.

“I don’t cook to impress. I cook to connect.”

Where It Comes From

My cooking is shaped by the places and people that formed me. I grew up with Balkan flavors from my grandmother, an endlessly curious mother who cook across cultures, and later built my career between Israel, Hungary, France, Belgium, and beyond. Those influences still meet on my plates today — memory, tradition, technique, and curiosity all living together.

“I carry all of those places with me into every kitchen.”

“The kitchens that shaped me — cooking with my mother and father.”
